Beat of Life tells the story of Esther (“Esi”), a young Nigerian woman who returns home to Lagos after studying in the UK, only to confront her father’s plans for an arranged marriage. Torn between her family’s expectations and her passion for dance, she discovers herself in Lagos’s vibrant dance scene, culminating in an intense dance-off that changes her life.
